BJ Spire attended his first rave in 1997 when some friends he went to school with invited him to a party with them. From then on, he was hooked. The whole experience captivated him. The lights, the visuals, the people, the atmosphere, and especially the music. It was the melodic rhythm and the energetic flow of trance music that hooked him in first. One party was all it took. From then on, he knew he wanted more...and more...and more. To BJ Spire it's an addiction. The music and the scene itself. No matter how much, even today, he listens to Electronic Music, the more he wants to hear. The more events he wants to attend. It's an experience. At the end of 2005, BJ Spire invested in a set of turntables, a mixer, and some headphones and began to learn the art of djing. Between 2005 and 2007, living in Texas, BJ Spire learned how to dj and developed his skills. With influences like Paul Van Dyk, Mars & Mystre, Chicane, and other djs he admired, he practiced at home in his bedroom day and night in order to get good enough to release his own sound to the world. Today, BJ Spire is the owner of www.bjspire.com. BJ Spire is also the former host of Zoneone Radio and Founder of Sacramento Groove Nights, an ongoing weekly in the Sacramento area. BJ Spire has played at venues all over Texas and Northern California including Ruby Skye in San Francisco and Blakes on Telegraph in Berkeley, CA and has played at shows such as Neverland, Sacramento Groove Nights, and others. BJ Spire's dream is to someday tour the United States and play shows all over the Country. He also strives to be listed among the elite on the prestigious dj mag dj list and be heard by millions, if not billions of people who can appreciate his sound.
